Pakistan Shines at the First International Nuclear Science Olympiad 2024, Philippines
In a remarkable debut at the first International Nuclear Science Olympiad, held from July 31st to August 6th, 2024, in the Philippines, Team Pakistan achieved outstanding success. Suleman Nouman (Siddique public School) and Subhan Kashif (Lahore Grammar School) secured silver medals, while Ehban Awan (Karachi Grammar School) and Qasim Salam (Siddique public School) earned bronze medals, showcasing their exceptional skills in nuclear science.
This achievement would not have been possible without the invaluable support from the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC). PAEC’s commitment to promoting nuclear science and technology education for peaceful purposes was crucial in the selection and preparation of the team through the Department of Nuclear Engineering at PIEAS. We also extend our gratitude to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for their generous financial support, which played a key role in enabling the team’s participation.
Congratulations to our talented team for their stellar performance and for representing Pakistan with such distinction on the global stage!
